What We Do
The focus of the Georgia Right To Grow initiative is to protect the ability of individuals in Georgia to grow their own food.
Who?
The Georgia Right to Grow initiative is comprised of individuals who possess extensive experience in fields such as agriculture, business, education, and real estate. Although our members hold diverse political views, we share a common interest in facilitating food cultivation for the people of Georgia.
What?
Our foremost objective is to collaborate with the Georgia legislative body to enact laws that would prohibit local governments from prohibiting individuals from cultivating their own food. Our objective is to enact laws that guarantee the people of Georgia the freedom to cultivate their own vegetables, rear their own livestock, collect their own honey, and engage in other similar activities.
Why?
Throughout the history of our nation, cultivating one's own food was not regarded as a rebellious act, but rather as a means of contributing to the welfare of one's nation and local community.
Due to the surge in inflation and the food shortages caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant number of Georgians have felt compelled to grow their own food. However, their attempts have been impeded by resistance from their local authorities.
